It's hilarious looking back at old blog posts. I was everything I currently hate.

Thanks for putting up with me, everyone. Hopefully current me won't be so cringe worthy in the future.

A gem of time

I love it when something in life just clicks, you know? You enter it by chance and then three hours later you've entered the void, you're down the rabbit hole
And for that time you're falling, nothing else exists, you're in the nether in between real life and fiction, and it's completely magical
I'll never forget when I finished playing Phantom Hourglass. I'd been playing for hours, my eyes were tired, my arm ached, but in that moment I was Link. That final island had three temples, and I blasted through all of them- I'd come too far to die now. The Phantoms, previously terrifying, were just another obstacle; bring it on, suckers. I'm the hero of time, and I am going to beat this game. Every puzzle, every battle was savored that night.
The final boss. This was it. I was so nervous, I couldn't hold the stylus properly. It lasted a good long time, but I fought like my life was really in danger. "Get the hell away from my friend" I hissed, "and get the hell out of my land" a shocking revelation, fight on land and sea, and then: Bellum was defeated. The credits rolled.
Phantom Hourglass is by no means the best game in existence, but that time playing it was incredibly special to me. I think of that game with complete affection, even after all these years.
It's rare to find gems of time like that, that can be caught in a bubble and let you feel that high just remembering it. They pop up almost at random, and when they do, you never want them to end... every sense and emotion is heightened and you hold on so tight because you're falling and weightless and so alive

If only they didn't have to invariably happen in the early hours of the morning.

Rungs

Too much, too much, I am piled with stuff
Not enough time for all
Not enough motivation for any
They tell me to prioritize but how am I meant to know what's best?
Oh, and just so you know, you haven't done that yet
You'll do it later after you put off doing the thing you're currently meant to be doing but aren't because you're too busy thinking about all the other things you're meant to be doing
Perhaps you should do something else to cheer you up and you'll be happier- no wait, now another hour's gone by and you're in more of a mess than you were to start with

Breathe

Do not look at the drop, look at the rungs of the ladder leading down
That's it,
one step at a time
keep going- do not peek!
Vertigo
is not your friend
and neither are the pretty clouds that are distracting you from above
One rung at a time
Find your rhythm, do not peek

I do not know if you will make it to the bottom
but the rungs will add up,
One by one,
and hopefully now you will have less far to fall.

OMG OMG OMG

NEW HARRY POTTER TRAILER RELEASED LAST NIGHT:

Seems to be a lot of spoilers for those who havn't read the books? BUT WHATEVER, I'M SO FRICKING EXCITED.
I can see right away they've made changes to the final fight, which is annoying, but I doubt I'll be able to see it anyway through the tears. Seriously, I'm crying at the trailer I am going to be a wreck once I've seen this...

JUST OMG.

Late POI: Wonders of the universe.

Yeah I missed a couple of POI's, cuz I'm lazy and CUZ I CAN.

Wonders of the universe is a show that explains physics with bubbles and sand and exploding prisons, and it's great8D Sunday, bbc2 at 9! I s'pect a couple of you already watch it, but for those who don't, I recommend it^-^
Also would like to point out the wonders drinking game: http://xtaldave.wordpress.com/2011/03/06/the-wonders-of-the-universe-drinking-game-rules/ good old twitter, haha.
The only thing I'd say about it is that there's a bit to much dramaticness and not enough science, imo. And he says "billions" a rediculous amount of timesxD But I actually understand chemistry alot better from Brian talking a tiny bit by a campfire and throwing things at it, and the flames going different colours.
I want him to be my science teacherxD
